Daniel Christensen trained at the Academy of Design and Crafts at the University of Gothenburg, and while doing his master’s he spent an exchange semester at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent, Belgium. Daniel has a great interest in typography and after graduating he went to Berlin to gain work experience and be an intern with the graphic design studio EPS51. Daniel is a graphic designer and freelancer based at his studio in the Möllevången district of Malmö. Via his experience in coordinating and holding workshops, his work also has a focus on social interaction and participation.

Using graphic design as a tool, Daniel implemented the exhibition project Pro Cicerone. Creators from Switzerland, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark and Sweden took part with ideas presented in the form of posters. The framework of the exhibition was based on questioning our access to the past and to our cultural heritage.

As Designer of the Month, Daniel Christensen will exhibit form studies from various projects and documentation from Pro Cicerone.

The Designer of the Month is a series of portraits intended to showcase local talents with links to the Öresund region and also to present an expanded view of design as a concept. The selection is made together with the association DISK (Designers in Skåne) and can be an individual designer, a group, or a manufacturer. The list of design areas is long and includes everything from furniture design, industrial design and architecture to fashion, illustration, the moving image etc.
